Rise and Shine : Songs

Maundy Thursday, and the last of this week’s Rise and Shine breakfast shows, as we’re on strike. Yes, we’re taking industrial action in support our brothers and sisters in the ASLEF Union who are mounting a four day strike.

We’ll be back next Monday once we’ve sorted out pay and conditions.

There can be only one story today: that of the bear criminalised by the Macedonian courts for honey-stealing. Zoran Kiseloski kept the bear away for a year with loud Serbian Turbo Folk music and bright lights, but eventually, his generator ran out of power and the bear returned to wreak havoc.

Which inspired the epic dance track, Honey Thief.
